چکیده

Protea (Protea cynaroides L.) is one of the most important ornamental plants commercially cultivated in Turkey and other parts world. In May 2017, protea heavily showed wilting symptoms were obtained from growing areas at Hatay province Turkey. Brown vascular tissue stems infected was observed. To determine causal agent disease, necrotic pieces taken diseased surface-sterilized with 10% sodium hypochlorite, two times rinsed sterile distilled water, placed on Petri dishes containing potato dextrose agar (PDA), incubated 24 oC for seven days. Microconidia no septate, ovoid, hyaline, single-celled, 9 to 12 × 1 3 μm. Control of Fusarium Oxysporum Causing Fusarium Wilt by Trichoderma Spp and Pseudomonas fluorescens on Arachis hypogaea L

Fusarium wilt diseases caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum lead to significant yield losses of crops. Biocontrol agents such asTrichoderma viride , Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens are applied to control Fusarium wilt of Arachis hypogaea. Experiments were conducted on the effect of culture filtrates of T.viride (1%), T.harzianum (1.5%), and P. fluorescens (2%) on biochemica...

First Report on Fusarium Wilt of Zucchini Caused by Fusarium oxysporum, in Korea

Fusarium wilt of zucchini in Jeonju, Korea, was first noticed in May 2013. Symptoms included wilting of the foliage, drying and withering of older leaves, and stunting of plants. Infected plants eventually died during growth. Based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of the molecular markers (internal transcribed spacer rDNA and translation elongation factor 1α), the fung...

The Effect of Plant Extracts on the Growth of Wilt Causing Fungi Fusarium oxysporum

Antifungal potential of aqueous extracts of forty plants of different families were tested against Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri causal agent of wilting of chick pea. Among forty plant species tested aqueous extract of Chenopodium ambrosioides has recorded significant antifungal activity against the test fungi. Solvent extracts viz. petroleum ether, benzene, chloroform, and methanol and ethan...

Antifungal Activity and Action Mode of Cuminic Acid from the Seeds of Cuminum cyminum L. against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Niveum (FON) Causing Fusarium Wilt on Watermelon.

In order to develop a novel biofungicide, the antifungal activity and action mode of cuminic acid from the seed of Cuminum cyminum L. against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum (FON) on watermelon was determined systematically. In this study, the median effective concentration (EC50) value for cuminic acid in inhibiting mycelial growth of FON was 22.53 μg/mL. After treatment with cuminic acid, th...
